On regularly basis weare organising different events according to the topic "Armenia".
Part of it are armenian "Cultural evening" at our YMCA Centre "Glockenhof" at Sihlstrasse 33 in Zurich.

Friday April 24, 2009: At 7.00 pm a commemoration concert for the genocide at the Armenians takes place at the Fraumünster Church in Zürich. The concert of the choir Komitas is organised through the Switzerland-Armenia Association (GSA). You are cordially invited to this concert!

6. September – 1. October 2002: Youth-Exchange. Grisha Bostanchyan (Y-Scout-Leader), Alvard Mkrtchyan (Secretary General) und Haykuhi Karapetyan (English teacher) of YMCA Spitak visit Switzerland and participating the European Scouting and Jungschar-Seminary.

13. August – 17. September 2006: Exhibition Agnes Avagyan. Young armenian Cartoonist is showing her colorful works.

7. October 2005: Slide-Show. The involved leaders are showing pictures of the first international Y-Scout/Jungschar-Seminary in Armenia.
April until September 2005: Longterm internship at YMCA Spitak. Christian Walti of Zollikon is the first Swiss long-term intern in Spitak and helps to implement the Y-Scout/Jungschar-activities..
Sonntag, 4. August 2005: «Run the Hope II» in Zurich-Altstetten. Second Sponsor-Event for the "Home for Future" in Spitak with a result of over 20'000 CHF.
28. July until 19. August 2005: First international Y-Scout/Jungschar-Seminary in Armenia. Six young leaders from Switzerland are holding a training in Ghursali, close to Sptiak in the North of Armenia.
24. June 2005: Movie «Between Ararat und Matterhorn» presented by director Bettina Spoerri.
23. April 2005: Genocide-Memorialevent in front of the great Cathedrale in Zurich. YMCA Zurich is placing a "Chatsch-Luis", a "candle-cross" as a temporary monument.

19. November 2004: Pictures and Music. Pictures of the second Studyvisit to Armenia and songs by the Accapella-Choir «Ananun».

24. September 2004: Presentation of YMCA Spitak. Haik Khachatrian, Executive director of YMCA Spitak is giving first-hand-information about the work of YMCA Spitak

Summer 2004: Internship at YMCA Spitak. Christoph Peter is the third swiss intern at YMCA Spitak.
18. Juni 2004: Lecture. Historian Hans-Lukas Kieser is holding a lecture about the Armenian Genocide.
30. April 2004: Movie «Ararat». With friendly support by «Pathé-Films», Zurich YMCA is able to show Atom Egoyan’s Movie about the Armenian Genocide as a memorial event.
2003:
7. November 2003: Starting event. Kick-Off-Event for our cultural events. Presentation of Adrian Künsch-Wälchli about future projects and the local-to-local-partnership between YMCA Zurich and YMCA Spitak.
Summer 2003: Internship at YMCA Spitak. Philipp Eigenmann and Mark Engler are visiting YMCA Spitak as first Swiss interns.
Summer 2003: Workshop «From East to West – Local to Local-Partnerships in the YMCA» at European YMCA-Festival in Prag. Led by Haik Khachatryan, YMCA Spitak and Adrian Künsch-Wälchli, YMCA Zürich.
2002:
October 2002: Youth-Exchange. Misha Eboian, young leader out of YMCA Spitak, is visiting Switzerland and participating the Jungschar-Camp of YMCA Zurich-Altstetten.
20. September bis 2. Oktober 2002: 1. Studyvisit to Armenia. A cultural roundtrip through Armenia. The group climbs on top of Mount Aragats.
2001:
Oktober 2001: Youth-Exchange. Lusine Poghosian, young leader out of YMCA Spitak, is visiting Switzerland and participating the «TenSing Seminary», the national basic training course for TenSing-Leaders.
September 2001: Projectvisit. Adrian Künsch is travelling as representative of YMCA Zurich to Armenia and takes part in the international YMCA-Festival „ECHO“, which the National Union of Armenian YMCA’s (ANU) is organising due to the 1700. anniversary of the armenian national church. Afterwards Adrian is visiting 5 out of 6 local YMCA-Groups and makes first valuable contacts.
Out of this visit the partnership between YMCA Zurich and YMCA Spitak will be developped.
